Oddly enough, I'm a theater grad but I also hate musicals.
I had to sit through "The Sound of Music" in a film history class once. It was the most horrifying experience I've ever had that didn't involve intense physical pain and/or spiders.
I must admit that I found The Sound of Music, growing up, to be largely inoffensive, but now I think it's more than just a little twee and amazingly quaint.
I can't say I see it as a horrifying experience to sit through like you did, Jenner, but let's just ask me the question:
If it was on the tube tonight, would I voluntarily watch it again?
